beast;459253Huh? It's dangerous? How do?
The URL isn't SSL. So, Google and other search engines and browsers say it's unsafe. I looked into SSL but not really wanting to pay evenore a year for that. I've seen you can get it free but it's been a pain to get completed.
Basically.
HTTP is unsafe.
HTTPS is safe.

dfosterf;459254The question is not if the site is dangerous. The question is if it is being identified as such by some warning message that is scaring off prospective members. I seem to recall something when I used my laptop, but that was so long ago I don't quite remember what it said
Our last join seems quite awhile ago so might be an indication that a warning is keeping people from here
That's all I'm asking about, certainly not inferring that this site is actually risky or anything
You could be right. I'll check into it again.

SSL is the right way to go. I just cannot stand all the annoying hoops they make folks jump through. I had to make up a department and organization because those were required fields.
You will soon receive an SSL verification email in your account 'WTFEVER@packershome.com'. Please follow the instruction in that email to approve your SSL order. Once you've approved the SSL order, it will take 1 to 2 hours for it to complete. You'll receive an email notification from us once it's completed and installed. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us via our Control Panel -> Helpdesk.

Well hot damn!
By installing an SSL certificate, your site will be able to make use of HTTP/2, which will result in faster webpage load speed

dfosterf;459249This is a question.
How many prospective members are warned that this is a dangerous site to join?
I don't know the particulars, but
I saw you discussing the rationale behind not worrying about it because its a beta whatever.
I invited a guy to join from a bar.
He went to join and was told that this place is dangerous. Did not join.
When was the last time someone did?
Your buddy can join now. I've spent the $60 for them to feel safe. 😁😁 (it was something that should have been done regardless)

One thing that is very nice about the new look is the border running at top that separates the website options from the rest of the page.
